I want you to know I think you are absolutely great because for five years in a row, you have now voted me as the number one global guru in the world in the category of customer service and customer experience.
I wanna say thank you. I understand that if you want to “live even more than one of the keys is for you to give even more” and so it’s with great pleasure that I give to you the entire global gurus, customer service, customer experience, community, the top 30 thought leaders in this field, people whom I’ve known and admired and loved and followed and collaborated with over the entire three decades of my career.
People like John Scholl, who’s been in the field longer than I had Joseph Michelli, one of the most widely published. Lior Arussy, who is a master working with large, complex organizations. Claire, Marilyn,Jeanne, who bring all of their talent expertise to their thought leadership and their presentations. Luke and Chip have been serving for so many years in a wide range of industries and the amazing Shep hyken.
That’s just the top ten. There are ten more in the field. Steve, Teresa, Jeff, Stacy, Donna. Jason from down under who joined us this year. Don Peppers, who’s been doing it longer than I have. John DiJulius Jay and Lisa, and there’s ten more.

Now, if you’ve been following or watching me, you know that I’ve been transforming my brand from service as being a way to make more money and keep more little customers and grow the top line, which still matters but actually service as a manifestation of care. Care as an expression of our love.
So with that, I am pleased to announce and very soon to launch the Five Day #ServeCareLove, Global Gurus Community Challenge every day next week for five days in a row. We’re going to be launching a challenge and I’m going to invite every single member in this Global Gurus Customer Experience Community to contribute and for you to interact with them so that you can get to know them on a first name basis like I have the privilege.
On day one Monday will be the #ServeCareLove Yourself Challenge. What are you gonna do to demonstrate that you really do Serve, Care and Love yourself?
Maybe you’ll sleep in. Maybe you’ll get up early. Maybe you have something to eat that makes you happy, or eat something else that helps make you skinny.
On day two is the #ServeCareLove your family challenge when you can reach out or stand back. This, for example, being my father, my brothers and I, and you can tell from the same family and you know they communicate in different channels. Some prefer a phone call, others wanna write. Some use Instagram, others are on LinkedIn and sometimes I have a family member who says I just want space and then I serve care, and love by stepping back.
Day three will be the #ServeCareLove your colleagues challenge.
What will you do to express your love and your appreciation and your care for the people that you appreciate that you work with every day?
I keep a gratitude journal and I can tell you every single day, one of the top five things I’m grateful for, and I write it down is the members of our team.
Day number 4, the #ServeCareLove your Customers challenge.
Let’s face it, customers are different. Some of them are so easy to work with, others present a challenge. What are you going to do to show your customers just how much?
You love them, care about their success. You’ll do what it takes to serve them well.
On day #5 will do the #ServeCareLove the world challenge. Let’s make the world a better place. None of us is gonna be here forever.
